It only seemed appropriate, since both The Hunger Games and UChicago Regular Decisions come out on Friday, March 23rd…
Happy Hunger Games! Today is the day of the UChicago “reaping”, if you like. Thousands of applicants enter! 9%-ish leave! Best of luck…
Sometimes, waiting for an admissions decision can feel like you’re trapped between living and dreaming (*ba dum, ‘tsh*).
We understand—waiting is tough. Just ask these adorable kids from The Marshmallow Experiment.
But we have some good news—decisions will be released to your UChicago Account late afternoon on Friday, March 23rd. We will also mail admitted student materials the following week. Waitlisted and Denied students will not receive notification by mail.
Thanks as always for your hard work and patience, and please be reminded we cannot give decisions by phone, email, or any other means of communication except for the letter in your UChicago Account or in the mail.
Best wishes in the coming weeks, and if you’re looking for 4 1/2 hours to fill, here’s a pretty good recipe for homemade marshmallows.
FYUChicago has prepared some tumblr bunkers.
We hope many of you are having fun living and/or dreaming your way to a complete UChicago application. We’ve had a lot of questions about what happens if your materials arriving after the deadline. Don’t freak out! While you should submit as much as possible by midnight tonight (most importantly: the Common Application and UChicago Supplement), we will still review your application if some materials trickle in over the next few days.
Please direct any application questions to the Admissions team. Thanks and good luck!
